Women, the Shame of the Immortals, are descended from those Immortals which warred against Man during the Mythic Ages, who were stripped of their immortality and forced to partner with man in order to give birth to new life--forced to resolve their differences by the necessity of co-habitation. They get their name, woman, from a combination of the words 'woe' and 'man', indicating that they are woeful to be partnered to man after their past immortality.
